The works mark the meeting of three mediums: Betti Alver’s poetry, the musical interpretation by the band Vaiko Eplik & Eliit, and the artist’s visual reaction. Ulrike Brett: “Before drawing, I read and analyzed the poem, then listened to the musical version, and while drawing, I listened to it in the background.

The result is a visual interpretation of the feeling and atmosphere created by the interplay of words and music. Each work bears the same title as the corresponding poem and musical piece.”
