Liisa Jugapuu (b. 1990) is a painter whose style is characterized by powerful brushwork and a strong sense of color. While her works appear to focus solely on abstract language at first glance, figurative elements also emerge through finer lines. According to the artist, her paintings are created spontaneously.
Jugapuu has exhibited since 2012, including numerous group and solo shows. She has participated in competitions such as ‘Future Stars of Estonian Art 2016’, where she took third place, and the Young Painter Prize 2016, where she was among the 15 finalists.
Liisa graduated from the Painting Department of the Estonian Academy of Arts (BA 2015, MA 2017).
